Space:

Retail

These illustrations depict a conceptual rethinking of The Ordinary’s retail space, focusing on how a simplified, human‑centered environment could shape the customer journey. The storyboards follow a customer through a personalized retail journey, beginning with their arrival at the store, where an associate welcomes them and guides them to a curated counter displaying the full product lineup. Through a relaxed, conversational consultation, the associate learns about the customer’s goals and creates a customized product script using tactile sticker elements and usage notes. With their tailored plan in hand, the customer heads to the order desk, where a representative assembles their products and prepares the final purchase. Later that month, the customer returns for a store event they’d been told about—finding the space thoughtfully reconfigured with a new product display, samples, and local artwork. As they explore, they reconnect with a familiar face, chat about favorite products, and leave with a sample of the latest launch, completing a journey that blends personalization, discovery, and community.
